Yuri's passion for performing began at the age of 8, when she started to take Ballet classes in her hometown Vienna, Austria. Throughout the years, she became even more hungry to get trained in many different dance genres, such as Hip Hop, (Musical)Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, etc. at the Conservatory of Vienna as well as at the Performing Center of Austria. In 2001, she was chosen to be one of the dancers in the Austrian TV show "Kiddy Contest", followed by appearances in other TV shows and musicals in various theaters. At the age of 15, she moved to Tokyo with her parents and Yuri's whole life changed. During her College years in Tokyo, she still kept developing her dancing skills and her passion for singing. In 2009 and 2010, she was one of the lead singers of the Gospel Show in Tokyo and had dance classes at the Broadway Dance Center Tokyo with renowned dancers and choreographers who had worked with artists such as Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, etc. One day, she happened to watch the famous musical "RENT" when the Broadway cast came to Tokyo and that changed her perspective toward life. After finishing her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts at Sophia University in Tokyo, she then decided to "measure 525.600 minutes" by following her heart and moved back to Vienna by herself to pursue a career in musical theater. She was accepted into the Conservatory Sunrise_Studios in Vienna and was trained in dancing, singing and acting. After 4 years of education, she finished her Diploma with distinction. Her very first job as a professional musical actress was a role in the famous Tony Award-winning Broadway musical A CHORUS LINE at the State Theater of Klagenfurt, in which she had the honor to work with Broadway legend Baayork Lee and to play her life. She then signed the contract for another musical IN 80 TAGEN UM DIE WELT (playing until June 2017) at the new Music Theater of Linz as guest Ensemble. And many others will follow...
